Enjoy a Unique Vacation with Westgate Historic Williamsburg

Westgate Historic Williamsburg is a hotel located in Colonial Williamsburg, one of the most educational and enjoyable vacation destinations in the United States. Williamsburg was once the capital of England's oldest and most important North American colony. Now the area has been turned into a living history museum.

Williamsburg offers 301 acres of 18th-century restoration. Much of the town has been restored to its original days as one of the nation's most important cities during the American Revolution. However, the town is more than just a lifeless collection of old furniture. Many of the city's sights, sounds, activities and residents have taken to the idea of a living museum and help to bring the past to life in theatrical fashion.

Some notable attractions include the Governor's Palace, The Capitol and the Peyton Randolph Plantation Site. Colonial Williamsburg's Revolutionary City is a two hour event that interacts with guests, as they become part of the town's revolutionary activities. Visitors can actually watch the collapse of the royal government and join the debate over Thomas Jefferson and George Washington's wild visions of independence.

Elsewhere, you can also enjoy museums like the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum, which contains original works dated from the 1600s and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, which focuses on folk art style and collectibles. Many exhibits and attractions keep in the spirit of Colonial Williamsburg and interact with tourists according 18th century etiquette. Exhibits like "Crime and Punishment", "To Go A'Pirating" and "Cry Witch" are very popular with tourists.

If this sounds appealing to you then make plans to visit Westgate Historic Williamsburg. Beautiful Westgate Historic Williamsburg is a resort built with period furnishings (reminiscent of Colonial times) but one that still includes modern amenities and features expected from a five star resort hotel. Rooms have king and two queen sized beds, cable TV and telephones with data ports. You can even enjoy an Arcade Room, hot tub and fitness center - a culture clash for sure!
